This is neither utopia nor dystopia, but a map of bodies and a projection of a future already unfolding.
Do human bodies in war appear to you as expendable material, statistics, sites for external medical, military-technical, and ideological experiments? Undeniably. And yet, a tender remainder lingers beneath it all.
Daria, Dnipro. 2025
The City of Women is a pseudo-documentary art project about the city, where only women remain. Olia’s photography imagines a world where the absence of men is not just a demographic reality but an aesthetic and cognitive state.

Sleeping beauty. 2025
The project explores how ecological disaster and the physical and psychological scars of war shape the female body.
Karina’s morning routine. 2025
They carry historical, muscular, skeletal, hormonal, and other forms of memory.
The bodies of biological men were rendered a resource of war. Femininity, by contrast, operates as a mode of survival — a manipulation of the in-between-post-war world and, at the same time, an excess of meaning.
Trans man, Leonid. 2025
The bodies in this City are artifacts of transformation: containers, diagnoses, interfaces of the war experience and new forms of community.
Olia and Nastya. 2024
This project is still ongoing. We are sharing with you parts of Olia’s work. Therefore, we withhold certain artistic and conceptual aspects of the project.
